Timelines in the Business & Commerical World

In business; time is of the essence, planning is critical and effective information management is vital.
You require constant access to up to date information, but the information you need may change on a daily or even hourly bases.

Traditional timing plans and Gantt charts tend to show all available information at one time or give just a summary overview.
Showing everything all the time makes complicated reading with little or no differentiate between major and minor events.
Information such as critical path, stage gates, important events and individual department work loads isn’t available at the click of a button.

Timeline Studio’s time planning and time logging software creates and displays your plans in a familiar style but with an edge – selective display of information.
This makes it easy to access the information that you need - fast.

The example below is a case study from the world of automotive engineering.
Car manufacturers build several prototype vehicles and put them through extensive testing to ensure that safety, reliability and performance are at optimum levels.

This example shows how a Timeline is being used to record testing of 7 prototype vehicles over a period of 11 months.
You can use the Views drop down list to navigate their timing plan.
The ‘Home’ view is the entire top level timing plan; a summary of where vehicles are within the departments at any given time.
Views 1 – 7 are vehicle plans, showing details of each vehicle specification and the tests it will be undergoing.
The 3 following views are showing when various departments will commence testing, ie when the electrical department will have access to a test vehicle.
