An ‘Event’ is something that takes place or will take place; an occurrence.
Timeline Studio’s Create Timeline software is a time based, data structuring tool designed to capture and record ‘Events’ and display them chronologically on a timeline axis.
As we know, the Events as they appear on the timeline represent something that has taken place or something that will take place.
To allow the entirety of the Event to be captured our timeline software has ‘Event Content’; a separate page (accessed by click-thro) for text, images and links (both desktop and internet) which explain and detail that particular Event.
Event Content is an option, use it as required.
For Historical timeline it can be filled with the historical data, for modern planning timelines it can be updated as and when results become available.
Our timeline software has the internal flexibility to create timelines of any size and scale whether that might be hundreds of events over a large time scale or just a few events over a few days, or indeed many events over a short time. When creating a New timeline simply select the units nearest to your requirements; Ancient History (BC), Historical (AD) or 20 / 21st Century (Modern). As you create your Events so the timeline axis will expand to encapsulate any and all Events displayed.
If your timeline topic is large; in terms of timescale or number of event (or both) our unique ‘Views’ feature will be of interest.
‘Views’ allow the entire timelines project to be divided into a number of layers or ‘Views’. This feature allows the timeline to show both the big picture as well as ‘drill-down’ detail; effectively timelines within timelines.
